Oh Santa Cruz, no you’re not that far

Santa Cruz to San Francisco (see the full photo album @ flickr)

Santa Cruz has a very laid-back, surfer-town kind of feel to it, which I love. On the other hand it’s absolutely freezing, even four weeks out from Summer… (not helped by the fact I’d just spent a week in the desert).

The drive North to San Francisco isn’t far behind the Pacific Coast Highway as far as scenery goes…

Mavericks, one of the heaviest surf spots in the world (although it wasn’t actually breaking today…)

A fairly self-explanatory part of San Francisco

It’s a very cool city, but I only spent half a day there when I decided I’d need a lot longer than I had to do it justice, so I headed back South at dusk, with no idea where I was staying that night…

Santa Cruz (You’re Not That Far)

Oh you gotta be, oh you gotta be
Still living by the sea
Oh you gotta be, oh you gotta be

Cos santa cruz
You’re not that far
Oh santa cruz,
No, you’re not that far
