Christmas in Stockholm (part III)
I accidentally made 10 dozen Pepper Cookies… (Christmas in Stockholm part III)
We were trying to make traditional Swedish “Pepparkakor” – apparently a festive staple over here.
But I didn’t pay attention to the recipe, and in the end I had a very, very large ball of dough.
I’d gotten through half of said dough and there were already four tubs full of cookies. Annoying… So now there’s half a kilo of cookie dough sitting in the fridge.
Next up were Swedish Meatballs. We found the recipe in a book of Swedish Clichés… bloody nice though.
Last was some local delicacy involving minging-little-fish (that looked like fat anchoives), potato, and a whole lot of cream. Janssons Frestelse (aka Janssons Temptation). Turned out brilliant just quietly, pretty sure this is my new favourite Swedish meal.
